2022 Artifacts Wish List

As we work to ensure that the Hartsville Musuem is representative of all of Hartsville’s communities, we are seeking artifacts that will help capture our broad history and expand the museum’s narrative; specifically, we are looking for photographers, programs, uniforms, manuscripts, and letters tied to significant historical events and personalities, and oral history that may have been passed down about life in Hartsville. Some specific artifacts that we are looking for to complete some of our exhibits include:

  • Halloween Costumes Circa 1950-1990 from Collegeville, Ben Cooper, and H. Halpern Company

  • Big Wheel circa 1970’s by Louis Marx and Company

  • Bomb Shelter Civil Defense Supplies

  • Windup Tin Toys circa 1900-1960

  • Political Campaign Buttons

  • Mid-Centry Goddess Oil Drip Lamp

  • Artifacts from Old Hartsville Businesses

  • Old Maps Depicting Hartsville and Surrounding Areas

  • Red Emergency Phone

In addition to artifacts, the Hartsville Museum is always accepting monetary donations to futher our mission. These can be made in person at the Hartsville Musuem, by mail at PO Box 431, Hartsville, SC 29551, or online by clicking here.
