Swamp Fox Quilters

Challenge 2010

Remember When…

This is a subject we all love to discuss! Our childhoods, our grandparents, how little it cost to buy an article “way back then” or even when life seemed less complicated and we all had less rather than more! The quilt designs stir our own personal memories and refresh us with a variety of sewing techniques and fabrics. You will see appliqués and hand and machine quilting that will leave a viewer amazed at the talents held by the Swamp Fox guild members. Every year the exhibit is different, each quilt is a work of art!

Come vote for your favorite quilt! The People’s Choice winner will be announced on the last day of the exhibit, Friday, August 27th.

Museum Intern, Valarie Flowers and Collections Manager, Thom Roberts hang the last quilt in preparation for opening the exhibit!

The Ribbon Winners Are….

Left to Right: Carol Lindler, Best Appliqué, Peggy O’Quinn, 2nd Place Best of Show, Best Art Quilt, Best Wall Hanging, Karen Kirkland, Best Machine Work, Harriet Whitlock, Best Interpretation of Theme and Jan Davis, 1st Place Best of Show, Best Large Quilt.
